Shared Housing
Shire House works with landlords who are willing to lease their properties to use for the Shire House Shared Housing Program.
The agreement lists the expectations parents want the young adult to meet as they financially support them. If the adult can financially support themselves, they would still have to sign an agreement of comportment and financial responsibility between Shire House and themselves.
Each property has a tailored shared housing agreement of comportment.

The housemate’s Shared Housing agreement includes adherence to the Parent Agreement.

The Shire House Shared Housing program essentials:

- Be a “pleasant to be with” housemate.
- Follow an individualized Parent Agreement and Shared Housing Agreement
- Be employed, attending school, or a day program.
- Participate in a therapeutic program, service, and activity if asked to do so.
